We celebrated British Science week during the week of the 21^st March, by inviting parents and carers into our forest school sessions to take part in some growing activities. We hope those of you who came into school enjoyed the session with your child.

We had great pleasure in welcoming the Triple H Community Choir.  They sang an array of songs the children knew ranging from Disney classics such as the Lion King and Let it Go from Frozen to some great uplifting songs to celebrate Easter.  They even learnt the Kingsdown School song, which was great to be accompanied by an amazing choir.

Ford built a gaming van equipped with a range of accessible features to accommodate children with physical and mental disabilities, opening a world of gaming to them.  The van returned from a four-month tour of Europe to spend it’s last day on tour with us at Kingsdown.

All the children enjoyed a dance and movement workshop bringing the ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ book to life. The children loved catching the ‘Golden Tickets’ and acting being Oompa Loompas and one child was heard saying ‘it was the best day of her life’. Fun was had by all.

On Tuesday 21st September we celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn festival is an East Asian harvest festival which is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with a full moon at night.

Once again the staff, children and their families have been very generous in supporting the Southend Foodbank.
