Kingsdown School has a very supportive PTA run by Karen Langley, Chairperson, and supported by parents, staff and friends of the school. Its main purpose is to raise money for the school and children.
Over the years the PTA have provided many wonderful resources for the children and school. They also support the entire up-keep of our two mini buses, 'Sunshine' and ‘Ralph’. Both minibuses are used to transport the children for trips and visits to off-site venues.
The PTA always welcomes new members and ideas, so if anybody can spare some time no matter how little, or has an idea, then please contact Karen, as extra help is always needed.
Regular Coffee Mornings take place between 10.00 am – 12.00 pm and are normally held on the last Friday of each month, during term time, in the Meetings Room at Kingsdown School. These are very informal gatherings and are an ideal opportunity to meet other parents and have a chat over coffee, there is often some wonderful home-made cake too!

On Saturday 24th March the PTA organised the Easter Spring Fayre.
There were many different stalls and the traditional Easter Egg Hunt which was a great success. The Face Painting and food were as always extremely popular.
It was a really lovely atmosphere added to by Sophie’s wonderful singing.
The PTA were very generously supported by friends, families and local businesses with many donating some wonderful raffle prizes.
With the combined help of so many people we were able to raise over £3000.00 so we would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who supported this event.
On Saturday 9th December the PTA organised a family Christmas Disco for the children of Kingsdown School.
There was some great music and partying and the highlight was when Santa visited and gave each child a present.
It was a very enjoyable afternoon and good family fun.
Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
